I only took a 3-week intensive unit in French Beginners with Christel, but I can honestly say that by the end of those 3 weeks, I was easily able to have a basic conversation in French. A special way of teaching and persona that makes the experience of studying French challenging but motivating and interesting

I just want to say thank you for your help throughout this year. Studying a third language using second language is really hard! There were times when I didn't even know the English meaning of a French word (avalanche, par exemple, and I will always remember this word 😉) and sometimes I get confused between English grammar and French grammar... But you are always so patient and considerate! When I was self conscious about my speaking and accent, you were super helpful and encouraging. You have a special way of teaching and persona that makes the experience of studying French challenging but motivating and interesting. Thank you for your preparation and hard work. I hope there are more great teachers like you and I hope to see you next year!!!

All aspects of the school curriculum were covered in great depth

Christel taught my son, a student at Knox Grammar school, French at the Higher school Certificate level for three years. All aspects of the school curriculum were covered in great depth for the 2 unit course to our entire satisfaction and to the extent that my son not only increased his position in class each year but was also awarded the French prize in Year 11. She was a most empathic and supportive mentor for my son during Year 12.
